MDB Yoga

I have developed a variety of yoga offerings to meet you wherever you are at in your yoga journey.  If you are brand new to yoga I suggest joining one of my 5-week Yoga Fundamentals classes to learn all the basics.  Beyond that I offer some classes focused primarily on postures and movement and others that dive more deeply into breath work, meditation and more.  More details on individual classes below.

All of my classes will have a strong emphasis on building your own mind/body connection.  I am also a huge believer in your own bodily autonomy as a student.  I will guide you into poses, give you alignment cues and offer up modifications and variations.  But you are always welcome and encouraged to listen to your body and come out of poses, do something different, or take a rest anytime that you need.

Class Descriptions

Yoga Asana

Yoga Asana classes will be focused specifically on the physical yoga poses.  We will work towards increasing flexibility, strength and balance, while fostering a strong mind/body connection.  Aside from a short mindful centering time at the start of practice there will not be any additional breathwork (pranayama) or meditation practice in class.

Yoga Fundamentals

Yoga Fundamentals is a 5-week class series that covers all the yoga basics needed to set you up for success at the start of your yoga journey.  This is the perfect class to sign up for if you have never done yoga before or you are returning after a long time away from the mat.  If you are interested in this class, but do not see it on the schedule please reach out and let me know.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga classes will contain all of the same wonderful physical practice as Yoga Asana classes, but with the addition of breathing exercises (pranayama), simple meditation practices and bite size pieces of yoga philosophy.  We will go beyond just the physical aspects and build on the more internal mental/emotional/energetic aspects of ourselves through our practice.

Private Yoga Classes

For those wanting to work on yoga in a 1 on 1 setting I offer private yoga classes.  These classes can be catered to meet your needs, whether you are brand new to yoga and wanting to build a strong foundation for your practice or a more experienced practitioner wanting to work on specific skills.

Private classes are $60/hour

If there is a class type that is of interest to you and you do not see it on the schedule currently please let me know.  I happily add more class offerings as I know there are people interested in them.
